Last night I had the pleasure of attending South City Kitchen’s annual Crawfish boil. For a great price, customers got to eat 2 pounds of cajun crawfish, potatoes, sausage and corn on the cob. The event took place on their porch, which was perfect for this lovely spring weather. We sat community style so it was a great opportunity to speak to fellow food lovers! Sad you missed this years boil? No worries- it will be back next Spring!
For those of you who don’t know what a crawfish is, think of a little baby lobster that taste like heaven. You peel away its exoskeleton to reach the delicious meat inside! Things get a little messy but thats all part of the fun! Crawfish come in various sizes but the ones at South City Kitchen were large and juicy! Also, the seasoning they used to make the boil was outstanding! It had a slight kick of heat and was packed with flavor. It was so good that my husband finished all 2 pounds of crawfish!

I would highly suggest enjoying a Sunday brunch on their porch this spring! It just doesn’t get much better than that!
