Happy Wednesday pretty friends! Let’s talk about fitness today! As many of you know, my personal favorite form of exercise is barre. I’m sure by now you have heard about Barre but if you have not- Barre is a workout that was designed specially for women. There are various forms of Barre but I enjoy the classic Pure Barre the most. It’s very challenging but yet engaging and fun. And guess what? Barre now added more cardio to their classes with the new Platform classes. Wait…cardio AND barre?! Yep!
So what exactly is this Pure Barre Platform class?
What Is Platform?
Pure Barre Platform is a new, fast-paced class designed to optimize cardiovascular results and increase total body strength. This heart-pumping class combines quick bursts of high intensity, yet low impact cardio work with periods of lower intensity muscle-sculpting movements. It is the perfect cardio complement to your Pure Barre class to help you achieve even greater results, while still holding onto the traditional pieces and parts of a Pure Barre class that we all know and love.
Cardio + Strength
These 55 minutes of high energy, fun and intense interval training at the barre will help you burn calories, jump-start your metabolism, and increase your overall endurance. I usually don’t sweat during the classic Barre but that is not the case during Platform! It’s very fast paced and makes class go by even faster. Also, I burn almost double the calories during Platform!
