Have you ever had a meal so incredibly delicious that you just close your eyes and beg it never to end? I hope you have because it is probably the most wonderful feeling associated with food a human can feel. That’s how I felt this weekend when Andrew took me to Le Clos.
Le Clo is a romantic, intimate French restaurant located inside the North Georgia vineyard, Chateau Elan. Reservations are required so make sure you give them a call well in advance. The restaurant is very small, only having room for 26 guests. Andrew and I were seated at their best table which overlooked the vineyard.
Le Clos offers two pre fix menus, a three course or a five course. Andrew and I went with their five course menu.
Here is the details about what we each ordered and some pictures to go with the descriptions.
Compliments from the Chef, Tuna Tartare
Grilled Jumbo Prawns
Watercress, Feta and Watermelon Salad, Limoncello Vinaigrette
Crispy Rabbit Wing Cream Corn, Toasted Marcona Almonds, Piquillo-Champagne Gastrique
Braised and Kofta, Feta and Basil Agnolotti, Confit Fennel
Chef’s Summer Garden Salad
Maple Bourbon Glazed Sweet Breads
Fresh Tarragon Beignet, Swiss Chard
Steak Au Poivre
Wagyu Flat Iron, Saffron Celeriac Purée, Grilled Baby Squash
Hand Picked Blueberries

I can honestly say that this was the most remarkable meal I have ever had. There truly is nothing like French cuisine. The staff was also very attentive and knowledgeable Every time I would step out to use the restroom they would re-fold my napkin! How lovely! The chef came out to ask us how our experience was and to thank us for dining with them.

Hope you enjoyed reading about the beautiful vineyard and restaurant I experienced this weekend. If you end up going to either let me know how your experience was!
Have a wonderful night my friends!
