Survivor Radio, a Georgia 501c3 Not-For-Profit Corporation, will be “Camping Out For Cancer” at Red Pepper Taqueria’s Briarcliff location this Friday, December 11 and Saturday, December 12, 2015. The two-day fundraising event will help raise money and gifts for children with cancer during the holiday season. Patrons are encouraged to drop off a monetary donation and/or an unwrapped toy in exchange for a complimentary queso dip and bring pictures of loved ones with cancer, which will be displayed on the Survivor Radio tent.
Survivor Radio, a digital station featuring an upbeat mix of music across multiple formats and talk content that includes the sharing of personal stories about cancer, interviews, and information about the latest in cancer research and treatment, will be streaming live throughout the two-day fundraiser. An inspirational celebration of all cancer survivors and everyone who has family, friends or loved ones who have been impacted by the disease, Survivor Radio continues to raise money for patients that may need help with medical bills, a ride to chemotherapy treatments, food, medicine or even help fulfilling a bucket list. Formally trained artist Courtney Khail is the founder and artist of courtney khail watercolors. With a BFA in Scientific Illustration from the University of Georgia, Courtney’s passion for nature and exploration is evident throughout her work.

The Fresh Market in Buckhead
The Fresh Market on Roswell Road will welcome Satterfield for a tasting and cookbook signing on Saturday, December 12. Stocking up on holiday groceries? For more information, call 404.250.0852.
The chef of award-winning Atlanta restaurant, Miller Union, Satterfield has quickly garnered national attention as a chef who understands how to spotlight vegetables with a simple, elegant cooking style that honors the essence of the vegetable. Named the “Vegetable Shaman” by Sam Sifton in The New York Times, Satterfield describes his method of using the whole vegetable in the same way many butchers and chefs utilize a whole animal: root to leaf. This is not a vegetarian cookbook; it’s a cookbook about spotlighting fresh produce in the kitchen. Organized by seasons, and with a decidedly Southern flair that can be emulated across all regions, Root to Leaf is ideal for the home cook.
