To celebrate National Coffee Month, mü, an award-winning coffeehouse cocktail from LiDestri premier private label and contract manufacturer, will donate one dollar from every bottle sold to charity: water throughout August 2016. Based out of Rochester and always looking for ways to give back, mü’s campaign launched on August 1st in support of acclaimed nonprofit’s ongoing mission to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Available in grocery and liquor stores throughout the East Coast, coffee cocktail lovers can help make a difference by toasting to National Coffee Month with a glass mü.

Known and praised for its innovating fundraising solutions that inspire and motivate social change, charity: water demonstrates that simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters help provide clean water to communities around the world and can make a life changing impact including improved health, increased access to food, growth of local economies, and even helping kids spend more time in school.
Beginning today, Vine & Tap will offer its entire wine list at bottle prices approaching those seen at retail stores. The Atlanta wine bar owned and operated by sommelier Ian Mendelsohn will implement a new pricing system that caps its own profit on individual bottles of wine in an effort to encourage diners to take more risks when ordering bottles of wine. Though the new bottle prices will break with restaurant convention, Mendelsohn believes the revamped system will more closely align with his goal for Vine & Tap: sharing his passion for wine.
Under Mendelsohn’s new pricing philosophy, Vine & Tap’s bottle list will have three tiers. Bottles costing under $100 will see a small percentage markup over average retail price, while bottles between $100 and $200 will receive a flat markup of $50. Bottles priced over $200 will receive a $100 markup, with no cap on the bottle prices.
While restaurants have additional costs compared to the retail wine selling business, they also often enjoy access to wines that are sold in limited quantities and are not commonly available in retail stores at all. Thanks to his past experience in New York at Windows of the World and Christie’s Auction House, and as the wine director at the St. Regis Buckhead, Mendelsohn has a wealth of knowledge and relationships on which he has built one of Atlanta’s best wine lists. Now, one of the city’s most expertly curated wine lists also provides incredible value.
In addition to its wine list, Vine & Tap offers a rotating selection of the region’s top craft beers, expertly mixed cocktails and an approachable, impeccably executed menu that has made the restaurant a Buckhead neighborhood mainstay. Home to one of Atlanta’s best lobster rolls and creative, seasonal cuisine, the kitchen at Vine & Tap is equal to the task of serving food that pairs perfectly with their famous wine list.
