Happy Monday!
I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and created lots of memories that will get you through this dreadful Monday. I would love to share with you all the fun stuff I did this weekend. Hope you enjoy!
On Friday I stopped by my local Target to pick up some ingredients for a bake off we were having at work and I stumbled across these (picture above) adorable school accessories. Aren’t they just darling? And the best part…they were only a $1 each! What a deal! I’m going to use the gold sparkle bag to keep my pens and pencils for school in and the clips for clipping my chip bags. They also all match my fabulous gold sparkle agenda I bought earlier this year! I sure do love a good deal on sparkle!
Saturday was the highlight of my weekend. Andrew and I took the puppies to our local Greenway here in Roswell, Georgia. It was such a beautiful Greenway filled with autumn colors, Fall leaves, and crisp air. The puppies had a wonderful time as well and were exhausted after walking a few miles with us. If you are looking for a fun, free, family activity THIS is it! You can take your bicycles and cover the full 8 miles of the Greenway. Or you could do like us and walk a few miles. Here’s a few pictures I took on our adventure.
Later on that night Andrew and I went to a fun little pizza place called Piola Pizza in midtown. This modern Italian pizza place is also located in other countries like Italy, Brazil, Honduras, Chile, and Mexico. It was exactly what we were craving and we got to use a Scoutmob on it! Remember Scoutmob is the app that allows you to save 50% off your meal just by showing your waitress the app.
Bruschetta
For dessert we went back to Jenis Splendid Ice Cream. This time I got the ice cream sandwich I said I would. I went with Jenis Oatmeal cookie sandwich filled with vanilla ice cream. It was absolutely amazing! But this is a warning, this particular ice cream sandwich is 580 calories so I suggest only eating half in one sitting.
And finally later that night I baked some pumpkin muffins for the bake off at work. This extremely simply recipe is a great one! I am very happy to say that I won the bake off and was asked various times what my secret recipe was. Well here is the secret, it only takes 2 ingredients! Mind blowing right? This is a healthier option too because you cut out the egg and the vegetable oil. Healthy and delicious are always what I’m eager to find!
And finally I finished off this wonderful weekend with watching my favorite show, The Walking Dead, while camping in my living room. What a great end to a fantastic weekend!
Hope you enjoyed reading about this weekends fun activities! Later this week I will tell you about two of my favorite Etsy shops and more about my J.Crew holiday job!
