A huge thanks to my friends at Wyndham for sponsoring this trip. All photos, thoughts and opinions are my own.
Happy Travel Thursday pretty friends! Today I want to share my latest trip to St. Thomas with you! If you followed along via Instagram stories, you saw what an amazing time we had staying at the Wyndham Margaritaville Resort. Although this was a rather short trip (Thursday-Sunday) we made the best of our time on the island. Keep reading to learn more about our fabulous time in St. Thomas!
Where We Stayed: Wyndham Margaritaville
After a quick three hour direct flight out of Atlanta, we arrived to St. Thomas ready to relax! We traveled another thirty minutes from the airport to the beautiful resort, Wyndham Margaritaville. The staff quickly welcomed us with warm smiles and a delicious margarita! Talk about a perfect way to welcome your guest to Maragaritaville, right?
Once we checked in, a very fancy golf cart {pictured above} shuttled us to our beach front room. We LOVED our room because it had a fully equipped kitchen, pack-n-play for Robinson and a king sized bed! We also loved the tropical theme and how there was a Frozen Concoction Maker® in our room!
Now let me tell you a little about the hotel! Inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville®, Wyndham St. Thomas truly covers all the bases. Located on Water Bay at the eastern end of St. Thomas, this beachside location is nestled in a cove fringed by waving palm trees. It feels like the perfect escape for anyone with a sense of adventure looking for music and fun or a laid-back experience.
The resort offers two pools (one being a heated infinity pool with a stunning view and swim up bar!), a large hot tub, hammocks, beach access, and of course, a Margaritaville® Restaurant serving up island-inspired food with a twist, including that juicy cheeseburger in paradise. I might have had TWO cheeseburgers on the trip! Ha!
What We Did: Coral World, Exploring the Island and Pool Time
As mentioned before, we were only on the island for three days but we got to do so much! We started every morning with breakfast on the balcony. Our favorite little spot was called Picasos Coffee which was recommended by the Wyndham staff. Located directly across the street from the resort, this little shop had excellent local coffee and fresh bagels. After enjoying breakfast, we’d go for a swim at the heated pool or go walk around the beach. After enjoying some sunshine, we’d go grab lunch and drinks at Margaritaville® Restaurant. One afternoon we participated in pool trivia and we actually won!! The questions were mostly on Jimmy Buffett and American Presidents. It was a lot of fun thanks to the staff and the other guests participating.
On Friday morning we headed to Coral World Marine Park, which was located less than a mile from the resort. You can either walk there or take a quick taxi. Coral World is a 4.5-acre sea-life park with aquariums, outdoor pools and nature trails. They also have hands on opportunities like the sea lion encounter {pictured above}, feeding the sea turtles and feeding the parrots {also pictured above}. What I loved most about Coral World is their commitment to rehabilitation and preservation of Caribbean Sea life. For example, our new friend Omar the Sea Lion is completely blind. He was rescued by Coral World when he was four years old from a zoo in Thailand that was closing down. At Coral World, they believe the ocean connects everything on earth, including humanity. They have multiple ongoing conservation and restoration projects to ensure that their influence on the ocean is a positive one. They also recently started working with our very own the Georgia Aquarium on coral preservation! Pretty, neat right?
Another fun thing we did during our stay was a tour around the island. We were picked up by Kelly’s Taxi service who then gave us a four hour tour of St. Thomas. We went to a few of the most popular areas like Beacon Point, Mountain Top {home of the world famous banana daiquiri}, and Magens Bay. Hailed as one of the world’s most beautiful, this breathtaking bay along St. Thomas’ rugged north coast is ideal for swimming and snorkeling with all the conveniences of parking, lifeguards, equipment rental, freshwater showers, restaurants and bars.
On our last day on St. Thomas we made a quick brunch and shopping stop at Yacht Haven Grande. We ate at Fresh Bistro which was my favorite meal of the whole trip! I got coconut milk soaked French Toast and Drew got eggs Benedict. Amazing! I also did a little shopping and treated myself to a new Louis Vuitton since it’s tax-free in St. Thomas. The perfect ending to a wonderful weekend in paradise.
The worst part about our trip was having to leave the beautiful Wyndham Margaritaville to come back to reality. Make sure you take advantage of their amazing holiday deals and book a few nights at our new favorite resort. Whether you are looking for tropical adventures, or perhaps you want some much needed relaxation by the pool, Wyndham Margaritaville has you covered!

Did you bring a car seat for your son?
Luisa says
I don’t believe we did. If he was a baby we would have brought his stroller/chair and used that.
