Disclosure: I was invited to stay at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa on a media trip but all opinion and photography is my own.
Happy Wednesday pretty friend and welcome back for another beach week post! Today I want to share details from my media trip to Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, the largest full-service beachfront resort in Northwest Florida. This trip was hands down the best media trip I have ever been invited to. It was everything a girls weekend should consist of: a relaxing spa, incredibly delectable food, and of course, a beautiful beach to sit on.
The Rooms
The resort boasts 602 spacious guest rooms and suites, located in the Emerald and Spa Towers. All guest rooms include balconies with partial or full gulf views and feature a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with daily complimentary coffee, hair dryer, lighted makeup mirror, premium cable TV, and wireless Internet. Rooms on the first floor also feature a covered patio. Junior deluxe suites feature bunk beds, media center, and one king or two double beds, plus a queen sleeper sofa.
What I loved most about my room was the ocean view and the peach color! I actually slept with the door open (they have a pull out screen) so I could listen to the waves.
The Beach
Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa is located on the beautiful white beaches of the Emerald Coast. This is of course what drawls people from all over the world to this resort. The hotel offers beach chairs and umbrellas so you don’t ever have to worry about packing your own (which you can of course!). The beaches this time of the year are actually my personal favorite because they are quite and the weather isn’t too hot! There is really nothing more euphoric than sitting on the beach for a few hours!
The Food
I don’t know about you but when I travel the thing I look forward to the most is the food! Lucky for all visitors staying at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, there are excellent dining options at the resort. From sushi, to a AAA Four-Diamond steak house, the resort has you covered.
During my visit I was fortunate enough to try each restaurant on property. The first night I arrived I tried Sandcastle’s Restaurant which has some popular seafood options. The second night I got to try their sushi restaurant, Hadashi Sushi Bar. Pictured above are a few dishes I got to try from both restaurants. As you can see everything was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked! A few of my favorites were the fried green tomato arugula salad with pimento cheese from Sandcastle’s Restaurant and the avocado roll from Hadashi Sushi Bar. You honestly cannot go wrong with ordering anything from either restaurant!
I also got to dine at Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood (AAA Four-Diamond) but that deserves a whole blog post so stay tuned for that!!
A few other restaurants on property are Barefoot’s Beachside Bar & Grill, which has beach service, The Sand Bar, Picnix Poolside Market, The Coffee Shop, proudly serving Starbucks® coffee and in-room dining available.
Serenity by the Sea Spa
A girls beach weekend is not complete without a visit to the spa! During my media visit, I got to return to Serenity at the Sea spa located inside the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa with a few ladies that were also on the trip. In case you missed it, here is my blog post on my Serenity by the Sea hydrafacial experience.
We started our spa day with a delicious lunch in the ladies lounge. I ordered the tuna salad which came with medium cooked tuna served over fresh greens. After lunch I was taken back to my 6o minute classic facial with my favorite esthetician, Geralyn. She complimented me on my skin {it had been 2 months since I last saw her!} and I told her it was thanks to her helpful advice!
After a blissful facial that left my skin glowing, I continued to relax at the spa’s whirlpool and dry sauna. When you book any appointment at Serenity by the Sea you automatically get access to their whole facility. Trust me, booking a spa appointment is ab absolute must while you visit!
Transportation
Flying into the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa has never been easier thanks to nearby airports (VPS or ECP) and C2 transportation. For this media trip I flew in from Atlanta so I didn’t have a car to get me around. Fortunately, C2 Transportation came to pick me up, drove me to local destinations (like Silver Sands Outlets, Eden Park and The Shard Shop) and took me back to the airport at 4:30AM! I highly recommend using C2 Transportation during your stay at the resort (C2 Phone Number: 850-225-3909).
One of the things that stuck out the most about Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa is how it truly caters to all age group. From romantic beach views and restaurants, to a special kids zone and babysitters, there is something for everyone in your family. Enjoy your time at the beach pretty friend
