Freshly Picked Moccasins in Cashmere // Fruit Romper // Moses Basket
Happy Tuesday pretty friends! Is this not the cutest baby you have ever seen?! Okay maybe I’m a little biased because he’s mine but I certainly believe he’s is! I have now been a Mom for 8 weeks and I have loved every minute of it. One of my favorite parts about having a baby is playing dress up. Newborn clothes is particularly adorable because it’s so tiny! But I will say, styling a baby boy can be a little more challenging than styling a girl. It seems every time I walk into a baby store the girl section is much bigger and full of glitter, bows and pretty pastel colors. Meanwhile the boy section is limited to a few animals and minimal accessories. Thank goodness for Freshly Picked moccasins! I found them while shopping for accessories for my little man and completely fell in love! They offer tons of options- from soft neutrals, to fun patterns for boys. And the older he gets the more options he will have since they carry all sizes and beautiful sandals too!
Styling Tips for Boys
Even though I have only been a Mommy for 8 weeks, I have been planning and playing dress up for a little boy my whole life. Growing up my sister was absolutely obsessed with Barbies while I was obsessed with baby dolls. Pretty incredible how that desire to be a Mom gets put into us at such a young age, right? Also, I am 13 years older than my little brother so I got to pick out a lot of his outfits too! During college I even worked at Crewcuts (J.crew line for kids) as a stylist! So needless to say I have plenty of experience in this field! Here are my top 3 styling tips for boys-
Keep it Simple
When it comes to dressing up boys- keep it simple. With girls you can add accessory after accessory but with boys less is more. Add a stylish fedora or cute shoes- like these fun Freshly Picked tie dye moccasins! Also, you can add a bow tie for special events!
Budget Friendly
Since baby boys grow up so quickly, don’t spend a fortune on their wardrobes. Buy a few nice pieces- like dressy shorts, fun rompers and a pair of sandals. I love these Freshly Picked tan sandals because they are adorable and affordable! I also recommend shopping at outlets when you get the chance or stores like GAP Baby, Gymboree, H & M, and Old Navy.
Mix and Match
Have fun mixing patterns and colors! Who says little boys can’t wear pink? I love how a pink polo with soft yellow shorts looks! And I absolutely love nautical themed clothes for boys. Robinson has a few pair of whale rompers that looks great with these Freshly Picked Anchors Moccasins!
I hope this helps out when it comes to styling your little man!
