Good morning lovely people! I hope you’re all having a fabulous week so far!
Let’s jump straight into it
Last week I had the pleasure of trying out Saltyard’s new lunch menu that will be launching in October — let’s just say it was an absolute treat! For those of you who haven’t dined at Saltyard, it’s a a trendy spot in Buckhead with a welcoming ambiance and delicious menu crafted by Chef Nick Leahy. Saltyard’s seasonal dishes and friendly atmosphere make it a must-try while in Atlanta. Now, let’s get to the menu!
Small Plates
We started off our lunch with a specialty cocktail, veggie board, house cured salmon board + ploughman’s board.
The veggie board was complete with vegetable hummus (which was to die for!), and an array of picked, raw or roasted vegetables. 7 Seed crackers also complimented the board, but I ate too many mushrooms and pickled peppers to fit them in my stomach.
The house cured salmon board offered some of the best cured salmon I’ve had in a while. If I weren’t sharing it with four others, I for sure would have kept it all to myself.
Mains
Once we were filled up on veggies, we moved onto the salads and saltwiches 😉 We sampled the classic chopped salad, kale salad + 4 Farms Salad. The 4 Farms Salad displayed an array of eggplant, quinoa, panzanella and canary lentils. Everything was SO colorful! The sure sign of a nutritious meal.
We also enjoyed the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Saltyard Melt & Sriracha Glazed Salmon Wrap. The Salmon Wrap was probably my favorite menu item of all. Watch out though, because it’s definitely spicy!
Desserts
We finished off our meal, excuse me…feast, with Saltyard’s warm chocolate cookies and peanut butter cookies. Y’all – these were incredible! They were tiny cookie bombs of joy. Warm, doughey and the perfect size!
I definitely left feeling full, happy and ready to go back!
Where are your favorite places to dine? Do tell.
x, elizabeth
