When you think of the Ritz Carlton, what comes to mind? Is it luxury? Leisure? Those are accurate descriptions of the Ritz Carlton but what should immediately come to your mind is outstanding customer service. When it comes to making their guest feel welcomed and right home, the Ritz Carlton surpasses any other hotel.
Last week my husband and I had the pleasure of having a little staycation at the Ritz Carlton Buckhead. There is something exciting about staying at a hotel in your hometown because you automatically feel like you are on vacation! We were greeted by warm smiles and quickly checked into our room. We stayed at the Buckhead Suite, which you can see by my photos was remarkable. The staff had even gone the extra mile and welcomed us with chocolates, marcrons and a picture of our puppies! Talk about a wonderful surprise.
The suite was extremely spacious- dining table, two bathrooms, living room area and a master bedroom. My favorite room was the bedroom because it was completely surrounded by windows. Since it is situated on the 19th floor, the room makes you feel like you are sleeping in the clouds. Pure bliss.
Serenity in Buckhead
On top of focusing on excellent customer service, the Ritz Carlton also strives to make their guest feel relaxed. One way this is achieved is by offering a wellness level spa with a Spa Concierge, relaxation lounge, boutique, overnight guest rooms and specialized wellness suites. The latest touch, skin and body therapies feature signature services reflecting a sense of place. One of these services is traditional Swedish massage, which I was able to experience. Traditional Swedish massage uses long, soothing movements to promote full-body relaxation.
When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by the friendly spa receptionist. She signed me in and showed me around the spa. Everything was beautifully relaxing- dim lights, tranquil music and a lounge area to quietly wait for your therapist to come get you. After changing into a robe and sandals, I was taken to my therapist, Julie. She made me feel at ease and explained how the massage would work. Excited to be there, I quickly jumped into my chair to begin the massage.
I told Julie that she had magical hands because the massage was divine. I highly recommend requesting her as your therapist- although I am sure they are all wonderful!
To prepare for the warm weather, the Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead has thoughtfully incorporated the essence of the new season into a curated menu of luxury spring spa treatments. Each treatment boasts bright flavors such as coconut, blossoms, ginger, pineapple and more, drawing on seasonal inspiration to elevate guests’ overall spa experience. The spa uses ESPA products and works in partnership with ESPA to create curated signature treatments.In addition to signature services, the below treatments are available from April 1 through May 31, 2016:
- Perfect Pina Colada Manicure
Nails are soaked in a refreshing mint bath and groomed to perfection. A coconut scrub gently polishes and conditions the hands, followed by hydrating pineapple body butter. Choose from our new spring polishes to complete this refreshing experience.
50 minutes, $65
- Perfect Pina Colada Pedicure
Invigorate tired, dry hands beginning with a coconut exfoliation. Nails are then groomed to perfection and followed by a relaxing lavender foot mask and a moisturizing massage, resulting in smooth and nourished feet. Nails are then polished with a spring polish of your choice.
50 minutes, $85
- Spring Blossom Facial
Spring ahead with glowing skin. Reverse the harsh effects of winter with an all-natural skin boosting facial. An exfoliation peel customized according to skin type will begin this treatment, followed by replenishment with essential nutrients. Skin will look and feel refreshed and revived like the new season.
50 minutes, $175
- Uplifting Ginger Lime Body and Scalp Massage
Indulge in this wonderful head to toe massage for your mind and body. Relaxation begins as hot stones are glided over the back, neck and shoulders. Fatigue and tension quickly melt away as ginger eases inflammation and lime stimulates the senses. A relaxing scalp massage concludes this treatment.
80 minutes, $260
- Southern Sweet Tea Body Bluff
Drift away with sweet tea as your body is gently exfoliated with sugar crystals. The scent of lemon and sweet almond honey enhances the experience. An application of rich, soothing antioxidant body moisturizer completes this treatment.
50 minutes, $170
- Hydrafacial
Revive your skin for spring. The Hydrafacial technology is an advanced skin care treatment that helps to correct damaged skin. During this facial, your skin is deeply cleaned, exfoliated and nourished. Fine lines, dehydration, unevenness and rough skin is eliminated as your skin looks and feels smoother and rejuvenated.
50 minutes, $250
In addition, the spa is offering a “March Into Spring” spa package, which includes the Spring Blossom Facial, Sweet Tea Body Buff and Perfect Pina Colada Pedicure for $385.
