As many of you know, this past Saturday was my graduate school graduation. My whole family came to visit and celebrate so it was crucial I find a great spot for brunch. Lucky for me The Bishop was exactly what everyone wanted. Located in Avondale Estates, this quaint restaurant is ideal for foodies. Best know for their brunch, The Bishop delivers exceptional dishes.
The Bishop did an excellent job making our dining experience a great one. With their $5 mimosas and Bloody Mary’s, brunch was off to an excellent start! Although it was a very difficult decision, I ordered the Chicken and Waffle sliders. The chicken and waffles are served with strawberry jam, arugula and goat cheese. I also ordered a side of their Pimento Cheese grits. It was all divine! A few of my family members ordered the Lobster Roll and Shrimp and Grits as well. Everyone was very happy with their meals!
A true family restaurant,owner/operator Luellen Marshall named the restaurant after her 11-year-old son, Bishop, who was named after his great grandfather. The family created the menu using household recipes. Bishop can often be found riding his bike to the restaurant after school and helping his mom during dinner service – too cute!
The Bishop is also open for lunch and dinner. Call to make reservations today- (404) 692-5454
Happy eating my friends!
