Have you ever wondered what it would be like to dine in the clouds? I sure have! Well I found a restaurant that makes this possible here in Atlanta- Sundial. Sitting 74 stories atop Atlanta, The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View is unlike any other restaurant. It offers unparalleled views and a distinct Atlanta dining experience that makes the most of the city’s proximity to local, farm-to-table ingredients. A tri-level complex, The Sun Dial features a revolving upscale restaurant, a rotating cocktail lounge and an observatory level with a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the magnificent skyline from 723 feet above.
From the moment I walked into this magnificent restaurant I was taken back by the view. The best part about Sundial is there is no such thing as a bad seat. Anywhere you sit you get a full view of Atlanta. Once I was taken to my table, Chef Jason Starnes came out to welcome us. He told us his concept behind his cooking- bring together fresh farm-to-table ingredients to create a deliciously elegant meal.
I started out the night with the Insalata Caprese. This seasonal dish is made with the local heirloom tomatoes, burrata, basil purée and topped with a balsamic reduction. I could not believe how fresh the tomatoes tasted against the burrata. I also loved how the basil purée, along with the balsamic reduction gave it a little kick.
For my entree I went with the signature Roasted Filet of Beef, which came with mushrooms, charred scallions, roasted garlic all atop a potato purée. It was finished off with a red wine demi glaze. I cannot even describe how delectable this piece of meat was. It was incredibly juicy and just packed with flavor. Phenomenal!
I enjoyed every minute of my visit to Sundial Restaurant. Not only is Chef Jason’s passion for food evident in the quality of food he prepares, but in the whole atmosphere of the restaurant.
Chef Jason’s passion for food is evident in both the quality of the dishes he prepares as well as in the ambiance of his restaurant.
Whether you are wanting to do a romantic dinner with your significant other, or you want to grab a drink somewhere breathtaking, Sundial will not disappoint.

Loved this review! Thank you Luisa! The Sundial has been on our list for quite some time now, but we rarely get into Midtown, so sad!
