Happy Thursday friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week so far. Today I have a new restaurant joining the Peaches to Pearls pretty food section- introducing Storico Fresco Alimentari. Located in the heart of Buckhead, Storico Fresco is an Italian restaurant and grocery store in one that proudly uses locally sourced ingredients to craft our authentic dishes. My favorite type of restaurant!
I had the pleasure of trying out Storico Fresco Alimentari with my dear friend Shelby earlier this week. Parking was free and easy to get to- which is often hard to find in the city. We walked in and immediately both thought how adorable it was! The big open space was made up of the kitchen, refrigerators full of ready made, authentic Italian pasta, cheeses and sauces and shelves of dry Italian products. All the pastas are made daily there and are ready to be taken home for the family!
What To Order at Storico
We sat down and were greeted by our waiter who explained the menu to us. Since it was the middle of the day we both passed on drinks but did start out with a few delicious appetizers. Our waiter brought out their two most popular antipasti’s- Polpette (Berkshire pork meatballs with mozzarella di bufala campana) and the Pane Carasau (Sardinian flat bread, arugula, pecorino, prosciutto, tomato, olive oil). After taking one bit of each, we could quickly see why they were so popular. I especially loved the flat bread because everything in it was incredibly fresh.
For our main entrees we went with two different pasta dishes- Pi Fasaac (taleggio, ricotta, spinach, Grana Padano filling, brown butter sage) and the Spaghetti all’Amatriciana (pancetta, red onion, spicy pomodoro sugo). Both these dishes were incredible but if I had to recommend one over the other, I’d go with the Pi Fasaac. It was light and didn’t leave you feeling super full and gross. Not a pasta person? No worries- they also make panini’s and salads!
Last and not least, we finished out lunch with some Creme Brule. It was very rich and packed with vanilla flavor! I recommend leaving room and sharing this dessert with your date.
Whether you are looking for authentic, fresh Italian cuisine, or you need a quick meal to take home to your family, Storico Fresco Alimentari has you covered for the holidays.
