Happy Monday pretty friends! Lets kick off the week with a new restaurant review- introducing its Georgia debut, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. Located directly across from Avalon, Firebirds focuses on steaks, seafood, chicken, and ribs cooked over wood-burning grills.
Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is a collection of polished-‐casual restaurants known for its bold flavors, warm hospitality and inviting atmosphere. Specializing in classic American cuisine grilled over an authentic wood-‐fired grill, Firebirds heightens the guests’ experience with unexpected delights such as chilled salad plates, meticulous table manicuring and refreshed frozen martini glasses. Firebirds’ scratch kitchen features a variety of offerings infused with bold flavors, including items such as its Wood Grilled Salmon and Chile Rubbed Delmonico grilled over local hickory, oak or pecan wood. With its mission to “Serve, Enrich and Exceed,” Firebirds prides itself on providing real value to its guests. Consistent community involvement and partnerships with organizations such as Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, with over a half million dollars donated to ALSF through the sales of fresh-‐squeezed lemonade, are also a large part of how Firebirds weaves itself into the fabric of the local communities it serves. Most restaurants treat kids’ fare as an afterthought.
My husband and I were fortunate enough to try out the new Firebirds last week. When we walked in we immediately felt we were transported to a western steak house. Our friendly waitress welcomed us and told us about their famous steaks and southwest rubs. We started out with their famous Lobster Dip, which had chunks of fresh lobster in it. Delicious! Being meat lovers, we both ordered two of their most popular dishes- the prime rib and the Chile Rubbed Delmonico. Both were cooked to perfection {medium rare} and were packed with flavor. We enjoyed both steaks but the Delmonico was phenomenal. Hands down one of the best pieces of meat we have ever had! I strongly recommend getting the Delmonico steak or even giving the Delmonico burger a try!
For dessert we went with a classic warm brownie with vanilla bean ice cream. Can’t ever go wrong with this delicious dessert!
Firebirds stands apart from other family restaurants because they prepare each dish to order, using the highest-quality ingredients. And by partnering with the National Restaurant Association’s Kids LiveWell program, they have designed a kids menu to help parents make healthy choices for their children when dining out. So next time you are planning a family outing, remember to keep Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in mind!
