Happy Tuesday pretty friends! Today I want to share a new restaurant with you- Bulla Gastrobar. Located in midtown, this restaurant has quickly become a favorite for its fun atmosphere and flavorful dishes. The bar and open kitchen design set the mood with an energetic vibe. The emphasis is on quality gastronomic creations made with the finest and freshest flavors. With tantalizing tapas, new house specialties every week, hand-crafted cocktails, and an impressive wine list, bulla is where you go to indulge in a celebration of good taste.
Bulla Gastrobar: What We Ate
Last week my husband and I were fortunate enough to try Bulla Gastrobar’s brunch menu. As you can see by our photos we ate some pretty amazing food. When we first walked in we were greeted by the nice receptionist and the fun music! We were quickly sat down and were then greeted by our friendly waitress. She told us about the brunch special, which is a tasting menu for $27 per person and $3 mimosas!
After ordering two mimosas (for that price we’d be dumb not to!) we started ordering some tapas- a small charcuterie board, their famous huevos bulla, watermelon salad, octopus salad and paella. Everything was phenomenal! Drews favorite was the octopus salad and my favorite was the watermelon salad. It’s hands down the best watermelon salad I have ever had. It came with watermelon, heirloom tomatoes, bellota ham, Leonora cheese and truffle honey. I plan on going back just to get one or two orders of it!
We finished out with their ricotta blueberry pancakes. They were so fluffy and perfectly sweetened! Absolutely delicious!

And Now Open For Lunch
Great news for all my fellow lunch lovers-starting this month, you can enjoy the shareable Spanish cuisine and communal atmosphere for weekday lunch. On Thursday, Feb. 1, Bulla launched its new lunch menu, featuring the same inspired takes on contemporary tapas that have made it a star of Midtown’s competitive dining scene.
Creative, appetizing newcomers on the lunch menu include roasted vegetable brioche (with portobello mushrooms, piquillo peppers, spinach, caramelized onions and goat cheese, $10); arroz negro (made with Valencia-style rice, calamari ink and sofrito, $17); snapper al ajillo (served with garlic sauce, marble potatoes and shallot confit, $15); and the fútbol club (features a breaded chicken breast with bacon, marinated grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, mustard aioli and pan de cristal, $14). Like the dinner menu, these items are ideal for sharing.
Bulla’s new lunch menu is available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In the heart of Midtown right next to the Federal Reserve Building, Bulla Gastrobar is located at 60 11th Street NE and serves lunch and dinner Monday-Friday, with brunch and dinner service on Saturday and Sunday. Plentiful validated parking is available at 12th and Midtown. For more information, call 404-900-6926 or visit bullagastrobar.com.
