Happy Tuesday pretty friends! Today we are talking about weddings and wedding gifts. Question for you- does anyone else think its ridiculously tacky to show up to a wedding without a gift? Now one thing is sending the gift to their home but another thing is to say- ‘Oh me going to the wedding is the gift”. As much as the bride and groom appreciate the sacrifices their friends and family made to be there, it’s still a little inappropriate to not get them anything. With how affordable gifts are at Home Goods and TJ Maxx, there shouldn’t be an excuse. Ok getting off my soap box now but does anyone else agree with me?
Not sure what to get the bride and groom? Perhaps everything on their wedding registry has been purchased and you don’t want to just give them a gift card. The beauty and brains behind it all, Victoria, started Paces Lane to help fellow maid of honors (MOH) make their brides day absolutely perfect. Back in 2014, her sister got married and she was of course, MOH. The one thing she noticed as a MOH was the focus of information for the bride-to-be (which they totally deserve – it’s their day!) but the lack of advice and tips to help her bridesmaids plan equally fun events leading up to the occasion.
She knew she didn’t want the fun of “assistant wedding planner” aka Maid of Honor to end. Since she wasn’t planning a wedding of her own, she knew she had to find something to fill the void (and extra time!). She majored in Fine arts in college, and decided to put her creativity to work and help supply cute giftware for not only brides-to-be, but anyone in search of a little extra pop for a fun event or just an evening at home with a glass of wine!
