A special thanks to my friends at Superfresh Growers for sponsoring this post. All thoughts, opinions and photos are my own.
Happy August, friends! We’ve kicked off the month with record breaking temperatures here in Georgia. I’ve been working extra hard to keep my plants, animals and family hydrated. It’s difficult to drink plenty of water each day so getting creative helps. Since water is such a blank slate, however, it’s pretty easy to make it more fun. That’s why I’ve teamed up with my friends at Superfresh Growers to share a few different infused water ideas to get us through this HOT summer month!
How to Make Infused Water
Instead of buying flavored beverages or flavor packets for your water, just make your own! Making infused water is actually quite simple. Just fill a pitcher or individual glasses with water and your favorite combinations of fruits, herbs, and spices. Then chill it in your refrigerator. For stronger flavor, prepare it a day ahead and keep it in the fridge overnight before drinking. Tip: If you add lime to any of your waters, do not let it sit for too long in the water or it will turn bitter.

Benefits of Infused Water
Depending on what you include in your recipe, infused water can have an array of benefits. Compared to a flavored drink or soda, fruit infused water is significantly lower in calories (near to none) and has vitamins and minerals. And if you eat the fruit once your water is gone, it will give you added fiber!
Here are a few of the fun combinations I came up with using Superfresh Growers fruits:
Whether you’re staying hydrated in the summer or after a workout, infused water is a great way to add a dash of flavor and nutritional boost to plain old H2O. What are some of your favorite flavor combinations? Do you have any favorite fruits and vegetables you like to add to your water? Please share in the comments below.
