Media Kit Importance + Giveaway

Happy Sunday friends! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend thus far. I just wanted to give you a friendly reminder that today is the last day you can enter our giveaway! So why is it important for a new blogger to have a polished media kit? A media kit, often known as a press kit, is a pre-packaged set of promotional materials a blogger distributes to members of the media for promotional use. If you are like me, you love sharing with your readers about your newest finds and about awesome vendors. As your blog continues to grow- so will the opportunities to promote vendors. People will start approaching you about promoting their product and will have questions on your prices. What better way to reply than with a professional, put together media kit.

I contacted Christen about designing a media kit for me. If you have NO idea what a media kit should look like- not to worry my friend, Christen knows what she is doing. I told her I wanted it to look like my blog (similar colors and fonts) and she quickly designed it. She will ask you a few questions about what you want on your media kit. This should include a small section about yourself, your blog, your blog statistics, and your prices. I chose to write mine in third person but that is completely up to you!

I strongly believe that as a blogger your should always present yourself as a professional, and someone that is organized and easy to work with. A media kit will definitely give this impression on your potential vendors. Also, it makes the process a lot easier. When a vendor approaches you about working with them all you have to do is send them your media kit. They will then determine it they want to continue working with you.
