I was asked to participate in the #JaredTimelessMoments campaign, sponsored by Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry. Although I have been compensated, all opinions and photographs are my own.
As a new father, you can definitely say that my life has gotten a lot more hectic. Between rushing back and forth to doctor visits, late night feedings (where I mostly provide moral support), and endless diaper changes few things seem to remain steady. All expect for one…
As a wife, Luisa has always been my main source of love and support. Now that Robinson has come into our lives, she’s had to become even more. She’s literally the glue that keeps our little family together. So you can say I was a little nervous when I started thinking about the perfect Mother’s Day gift.
Most guys, myself included, never know what to get our wives. And adding another holiday provides us with another opportunity to make or break getting that perfect gift. Since Luisa is such an amazing gift giver I’ve really had to step up my game over the last few years and this Mother’s Day is no exception. So I’ve decided to give you my best advice for getting the perfect gift this Mother’s Day
- LISTEN!!! – I know it sounds trite, but this is honestly the best advice I can give. Your wife, fiancée, or girlfriend will more than likely let you know EXACTLY what they want in some form or fashion. Whether it’s a subtle hint walking through one of her favorite stores or something as direct as “Babe, can you get me this for Mother’s Day”
- ASK THE BIG 3 – If you’re not lucky enough to have a partner that spells it out for you, then I suggest you consult the “BIG 3”. This would be either the Mom, Sister or Best Friend. She may not tell you what she wants, but I guarantee she’s told one of them
- WHEN IN DOUBT, TAKE THE JEWELRY ROUTE – This last one is pretty simple, fellas. But don’t just go jewelry shopping anywhere. It is important you seek help from somewhere that can help you find the most unique and long-lasting designs.
This is where I got help from my friends over at Jared’s, The Galleria of Jewelry. They understood the importance of finding my wife the perfect pieces that symbolized not only my love for her as my wife, but now as the mother of our son, Robinson. When deciding on what style to choose, I wanted to get Luisa something that represented beauty, timelessness, and elegance. I had to go with pearls. And it doesn’t hurt that her blog is named after them as well.
Needless to say, I think she’s going to love this Mikimoto pearl necklace and matching pearl earrings. There simple, understated elegance match Luisa’s style perfectly. I can honestly say that she’ll always remember her very first Mother’s Day.
Let’s hope she does, for my sake at least….Father’s Day is right around the corner!
