Happy Wednesday friends! Today I want to tell you about one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta, Shake Shack. With various locations around the world, Shake Shack has quickly become a top Atlanta burger joint. Since I try to live a healthy life, I limit myself to one burger per month. But there is something you must know about me- if I could only have one dish before I die- it would be a big juicy burger. Guilty as charged!!
Shake Shack actually sprouted from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation. The cart was quite the success, with Shack fans lined up daily for three summers. In 2004, the bid was won to open a permanent kiosk in the Park: Shake Shack was born. This modern day “roadside” burger stand serves up the most delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, shakes, beer, wine and more. An instant neighborhood fixture, Shake Shack welcomed people from all over the city, country and world who gathered together to enjoy fresh, simple, high-quality versions of the classics in a majestic setting. The rest, as they say, is burger history.
Shake Shack not only creates delicious burgers and hot dogs but they are also famous for their custard. And just for the holidays they are featuring special shakes {pictured above}- Gingerbread, Chocolate Peppermint and Christmas Cookie Shakes. I was able to try all three flavors and my favorite was the Christmas Cookie! It tasted like Christmas in a cup! These limited time shakes will be available until January 3rd so hurry on in!
I also got to try their salted caramel hot chocolate and believe me when I tell you that it was the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had! It’s the perfect amount of sweet and salty. I highly recommend trying it during this cold weather.
Let me know what you think about Shake Shack when you visit!
