Happy Derby Day

Happy Derby Day my friends! In honor of the grand ole Kentucky Derby, here is a re-cap from our very own derby experience at Steeple Chase. In my opinion, any sporting event that entails dressing up, good drinks, great food and even better friends- is the pure perfection. This was my first time going to Steeple Chase so I honestly didn’t know what to expect. My dear friend Cynthia, from Sensibly Sharp Blog, invited us and was amazing little hostess.

Our set up included some delicious Goat Cheeses from Capra Gia,  Pimento Cheese {duh!}, chicken salad sandwiches and Malvi Mallows for dessert. And no southern event would be complete without mimosas and bloody Mary’s do sip on! We used our favorite Vixen Vodka for the bloody Mary’s and boy were they delicious! We spent the afternoon eating, drinking and watching the horses race.

So what do you wear to Steeple Chase? A big hat of course! I went with this beautiful Columbia sun hat that matched my outfit. I also wore my floral print romper, comfortable Cathy Jean wedges and my HM Willow bracelets.
