One of things I love about Atlanta is the passion people have to support local farmers, artist and vendors. There’s nothing quite like helping out your community, right? Well thats exactly what Fresh Harvest (FH) does- supports local farmers by bringing fresh produce to your door.
At Fresh Harvest, the basket is your connection to your local farmer. Because of this, you are able to get the freshest vegetables and fruits available. So how exactly does it work?
Farmers
An FH partner farmer harvests your produce.
PERSONAL PACKING AFICIONADOS
The FH Crew shakes hands with him/her and then starts packing your basket full of the goods you ordered for the week.
YOUR DOOR
Your FH deliverer sets your bin at the door of your home or office.
YOUR TABLE
You gather around a table with friends and family to share the meal.
Last week I received my first Fresh Harvest box. I got the standard basket which came with muscadines, apples, pears, romaine, onions, an eggplant, cucumbers, pole beans, curry lead, jalapeños, pink eyed peas and small melon. You can imagine how excited I was when I open my first fresh harvest basket and found so many delicious fruits/vegetables! But I think what I loved the most was the fact that everything is from Georgia.
My friends over at Fresh Harvest are being kind enough to give Peaches to Pearls readers 50% off their first basket. All you have to do is use promo code PEACHESTOPEARLS in the coupon section when checking out. Such a treat! Take advantage of this amazing deal and make sure you put Peaches to Pearls referred you!
Enjoy your harvest my friends! Stay tuned for an exciting recipe I’ll be sharing next week with my produce.
