Happy Tuesday pretty friends! When you think of holiday food, what comes to mind? I think hot chocolate, candy canes, gingerbread houses and pie. Clearly the holidays are all about the sweetest foods! Today I want to introduce you to a delicious, speciality restaurant- Pie Bar!
Located in Woodstock, this little pie shop is not only adorable but its also home to some famously delicious pies. And I really do mean famous- they just won an episode of Sugar Show Down on the Cooking Channel! Pretty impressive, right?
About Pie Bar
At Pie Bar, they believe that pie is not just for special occasions, it is meant to be enjoyed on a regular basis. Owner and pie maker, Lauren Bolden, began baking pies for family and friends when she was just a kid. Many years and lots of pies later, she began to pursue something that makes her happy..pie. Lauren’s husband, Cody Bolden, joined the Pie Bar team and turned a hobby into a business.
If you are looking for a no-frills, simple approach to delicious pie, Pie Bar is your place. They specialize in making pies that look homemade (because they are) and taste even better. They are passionate about creating a pie that people love to eat and love to share. All of their pies are handcrafted and made with the most fresh and local ingredients as possible.
I was fortunate enough to try a few of The Pie Bar’s savory and sweet pies and I can honestly tell you they were the best I’ve ever had! You can taste how fresh their ingredients are and how much love and hard work goes into each pie. I tried a few of their most popular pies- the Bourbon Chocolate Pecan, Rosemary Chicken Pot Pie, and Roasted Veggie Poe Pie. They were all amazing but the Chicken Pot Pie was my favorite. The crust was extra flakey and the filling was rich and packed with flavor. I especially loved the fresh vegetables inside both the savory pies! Both savory pies are available fresh or froze and can be purchased in two sizes- 6″ for $8 and 10″ for $30. The 6″ generally feeds 1-2 people and the 10″ generally feeds 4-6 people.
