Happy Wednesday friends! Today I have a very special treat for you- I’ve teamed up with my dear friend Lauren from Edit By Lauren to tell you how we eat and dress pretty. When it comes to dressing pretty, Lauren is quite the expert. Not only does she a successful fashion blogger, but she also owns her very own styling service here in Atlanta! Make sure you head over to her blog today to see how she dresses pretty for the gym.
When it comes to eating pretty, you all know I am all about eating a well balanced diet. One of my favorite easy, nutritious recipes to make is a simple acai berry bowl. This delicious snack can serve as a meal replacement and is packed with nutrients. The acai berry is an indigenous berry commonly found in the Amazon rain forest. Scientist believe that acai berries contain the highest amount of antioxidants and are considered a super food among nutrionist. Acai berry has been linked to having anti-aging effects, increasing levels of energy, boost in sex drive, and overall improving mental function (according to the Gloval Healing Center). Pretty awesome that a tiny berry can do all that right?
So how about starting your day off right with this bright and healthy fruitastic breakfast bowl! Here is a simple recipe that I made to share with you today. I used Sambazon acai berry packet with guarnaná. Guarana is often used for weight loss, to enhance athletic performance, as a stimulant, and to reduce mental and physical fatigue. I love the extra boost of energy it gives me after a long day of working. If you rather not have guarnaná in your diet, purchase the Sambazon unsweetened acai berry packet. I found all these ingredients at my local Whole Foods. You can add whatever fruit you want on top and even add some natural honey. Enjoy!
Acai Berry Smoothie Bowl Recipe
