Happy Monday friends! I don’t know about you but I could definitely use a refreshing cocktail right about now! Too bad I still have to wait a few weeks but if I didn’t, THIS delicious cherry limeade sour would be what I would be sipping on!
My husband actually developed this recipe using our favorite cherries from Superfresh Growers. If you have been following my blog for a while now, you remember that a few years ago I got to go see how these cherries are grown and harvested in Washington. It was an AMAZING experience to see the whole process from start to finish! It truly made me fall more in love with this brand and what they are all about. If you ever come across Superfresh Grower cherries, swipe them up immediately! Trust me on this one!
For this recipe my husband used the Superfresh Growers dark sweet cherries. You can also use their Rainier cherries but you will get a deeper flavor by using the dark ones. Also, darker cherries pack a higher concentration of antioxidants!
Cherry Nutrition
As mentioned above, dark cherries have a high concentration of antioxidants, which may be responsible for this fruit’s many health benefits. Cherries are especially high in polyphenols, a large group of plant chemicals that help fight cellular damage, reduce inflammation, and promote overall health. Cherries also contain fiber, various vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, copper, potassium and manganese.c

- Pour drink into glass and add bitters for taste.**
- Garnish with a lime wedge and rosemary. Enjoy!
*This is very important to ensure you drink gets that delicious foam from the egg white. Another tip, crack your egg into the shaker first just in case you accidentally get any yolk or shell into the cup. That way, if you make a mistake you don’t waste any other ingredients.
**Angostura bitters work well for this cocktail.
