Sustainable. Local. Made-from-scratch. Need I say more? If you are a Southern cuisine lover- Buttermilk Kitchen is your stop. Located between Sandy Springs and Buckhead, this little cottage style restaurant is a must try for all you foodies. I stumbled upon this little gem while searching through deals on my favorite app- Scoutmob. For only $25, Buttermilk Kitchen has teamed up with Scoutmob Handpicked to give you and a friend :
- Either one half of their infamous Southern Chicken Philly with one half seasonal salad, OR a half seasonal salad with one cup brunswick stew for each person
- One homemade iced tea per person
- One jar of Chef Suzanne’s scrumptious homemade pimento cheese to take home per person
Talk about a great deal! My sister and I went together last week to try it out. From the beautiful, simple Southern decor to the homemade sweet tea, Buttermilk Kitchen makes you feel right at home. Our waitress informed us that their menu changes seasonally since they purchase from local farms and vendors. She also told us that they are best known for their brunch on Sundays and their all natural chicken. With that being said, I decided to try the Southern Chicken Philly and Brunswick Stew. Both were absolutely delicious! I especially loved the Southern twist on the classic Philly! My sister had the sandwich with a buttermilk pancake on the side. Delicious too but definitely go with their Brunswick Stew. The Stew was thick and loaded with flavor. The cornbread croutons were a delectable little touch! And don’t forget to pick up your very own jar of homemade pimento cheese!
