Happy Monday my friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Today I want to share with you an amazing hair care line I’m hooked on- Lee Stafford. This line is unlike any other I’ve tried because its made with high quality ingredients, smells delicious and actually works!
Lee Stafford, created by Lee himself, is a prestigious hair brand that can be found at Ulta and now Target. A former celebrity hairdresser, that even did the Rolling Stones at one point – created this line with savvy, fashionable girls in mind. Starting the dry shampoo trend in Great Britain, Lee has popularized this essential hair product in the United States.
Last week I was able to sit down and chat with Lee himself. With his down-to-earth, fun personality- Lee truly represents his brand well. He told me about how he started the dry shampoo movement in London years ago. Since then, he has perfected his most popular product and even developed a dry shampoo for brunettes {my personal favorite}. He explained to me how his dry shampoo is different from the rest because it’s made with cornstarch. This unique ingredient effectively soaks up oil, without leaving your hair feeling sticky or even dirtier. As this is specifically designed for dark hair, there is no risk of any visible white and if you color your hair, it will also help to disguise root re-growth in between salon visits. Plus you get an added bonus of a bit of root boost for a catwalk-ready, volumized hair!
Another amazing product I’ve been using is Lee’s newest Ubuntu Oil hair care line. Ubuntu’ means kindness and these oils will leave hair pampered, repaired, restored and full of healthy goodness. These high quality, vitamin enriched oils are sourced using fair trade principles and capture traditional African beauty regimes. The range comprises 4 targeted oils for specific hair types: Baobab oil for dry hair, Mafura oil for the repair of coarse/damaged, Marula oil for the repair of fine/damaged hair and Mongongo oil for color fade protection.
Before I said good-bye to Lee, I asked him what advice he had for all hard working, girl bosses and he said that it’s imperative you love what you do. Even if you have to quit your current day job to pursue your dream, do whatever it takes to do what you’re passionate about. That’s what he did and he has never looked back.
Xoxo,
