Beach Week: The Essentials

Welcome to Peaches to Pearls Beach Week 2015! With spring break upon us and summer break just around the corner, I decided to dedicate this whole week to beach living. Throughout the week I’ll be sharing my best advice on executing a perfect beach week. First up- the beach week essentials.

I don’t know about you, but when I’m packing I seem to over do it every time. Even if I’m only leaving for a weekend- I’ll pack enough clothes to actually survive for a few months. But when it comes to the beach- less is best. Growing up in a beach town really taught me what you truly need to get the best out your time in the sun.

Here is a list of what you absolutely need to pack in your bag. Click on each one to be linked to my current favorites:

3) Large towel
4) Water Bottle
5) Sunnies
6) Big Hat
7) Sunscreen
8) One nice dinner outfit
9) Radio
10) A good book

I’m sure you can think of a million other items to pack but in my experience these are your essentials for a succesful beach weekend.

The beach is my form of therapy because there is nothing more peaceful than sitting in the sand and enjoying a good book. I remember one time being so consumed by Emily Giffins “Something Borrowed” that I sat on the beach 10am until 8pm. It was a magical day! What do you love about being on the beach?
