Happy Monday friends! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with lots of love and delicious food. I decided to take the week off from blogging to focus on spending quality time with my family who came to visit from Florida. But I am back and ready to share some great posts with you! First up- a very special blogger post! Last Monday, I had the honor of being nominated by Kelly and Megs from Peachtree Roadies for the Tour Through Blogland series. I will be sharing a few things about Peaches to Pearls and nominate 3 bloggers that I love and admire to continue the tour train!
Q: What am I working on?
Well besides finishing my LAST ever Fall semester of graduate school, I am working on a few holiday posts! I recently got chosen to work with the amazing company Marley Lilly and will be showing you some of their amazing products! I will also be sharing delicious, healthy, holiday recipes with you this month. But the project I am most excited to be working on is putting together this years best Atlanta Restaurants that I ate at! I’m only four restaurants away from hitting my 200th new restaurant in Atlanta- so I have an amazing list to share with you soon!
Q: How does my work differ from others in it’s genre?
I would say that my blog is different because it incorporates healthy lifestyle tips with budget friendly fashion advice. Everything I do and show you on Peaches to Pearls is purchased on a student budget. I won’t ever advice you to drop $500 on a new bag or new shoes (trust me- if I had the money it would be a different story!). I hope women my age will relate to me and enjoy learning how to eat and shop great quality at affordable prices.
Q: Why do I write/create what I do?
I started Peaches to Pearls because I love to share my passions for food and fashion with others. I truly do enjoy writing up a fun post and seeing what my readers think of it. I have made some amazing friendships and met some equally amazing girl bosses on the way!
Q: How does my writing/creating process work?
My creative process is very spontaneous. If I find an amazing recipe that I have to share with my readers- I make it first for my hubby (aka my poor little guinea pig) and if its a success- I make it again, photograph it, and write a post. For my fashion posts- I usually find something new that I am passionate about, like a new bracelet or dress, then I style it, photograph it, and share it! I won’t ever post anything I don’t believe in or absolutely love myself. I also try to showcase talented, ambitious vendors. One of my goals is to build a strong blogger/vendor community-so its very important I believe in what that person is selling.
