A Night of Southern Art

Last night I had the privilege of attending an exclusive menu and drink tasting put on by The Reynolds Group here in Buckhead.  Southern Art and Bourbon Bar and InterContinental Hotels allowed us a sneak preview of their newest signature cocktails. Colloborating with Coca-Cola and Riedel Glassware, these unique, new line of cocktails are globally-inspired by hope, happiness, and optimism. Ranging from countries like India, Mexico, and Japan- these new cocktails each represent a unique taste of their country. I tried the Mexican cocktail named Hope/Esperanza, which came with lime juice, dash of Mexican mole bitters, muddled jalapeńo and cilantro. This drink was delicious and came with a strong kick!

We were also able to try a few items put together by chef Art Smith’s southern-inspired specialities. My favorite was the Chargrilled Hanger Steak which was served with sweet potato frites in a mustard glaze. Everything was delicious, but then again it wasn’t surprising since chef Art never disappoints.  Having worked for celebrities like Oprah, Chef Art truly knows how to deliver superior quality food. This farm to table restaurant is located inside the InterContinental Hotel in Buckhead and should definitely be your next date night destination.
