When asking around Atlanta what the best pizza in town was everyone, I mean everyone, replied Antico Pizza. This traditional authentic Italian pizza is highly esteemed among the Atlanta locals. Not only known for their pizza, Antico’s also allows you to bring your own bottle of wine! Pretty appealing right?
After a full day of taking engagement pictures in the cold, Andrew and I were craving some warm pizza for dinner. We picked up a bottle of wine and headed over to the famous Antico Pizza in West Atlanta. Set in a small, hole in the wall shop, Antico feels like Italy the minute you walk in.
The seating is community style so don’t be shy to sit with strangers! You order your pizza at the counter and they quickly bring it out to your table.
Andrew and I ordered 1 pizza to share. It was the perfect amount for just 2 people so if you have a bigger group get a few more. They only sell one size and do not offer ‘per slice’ options. We ordered the Diavola Pizza which came with spicy sopressata, pepperonata, and bufala. Spicy Sopressata is an Italian spicy salami and sopressata is a red sauce made with peppers, onions, tomatoes, garlic, and basil. Bufala is a type of mozzarella cheese. Warning! This pizza is very very spicy! They use hot peppers and they definitely give the pizza a strong kick. I usually never order spicy food but this pizza was amazing. I can honestly say I have never had a pizza like this. I strongly recommend it!
Antico Pizza also offers calzones and sweet cannoli’s. Overall, Antico Pizza was a fun little pizza place that offers a different approach to dining out. Cibo squisto!
For this weeks cute find I purchased my first holiday home decoration. I found this adorable decorative dishtowel at Anthropologie the other day! Such a cute little find for the holidays!
