Happy Tuesday my friends! For those of you who know me, you know how much I love goat cheese. If you saw my post yesterday on Portofino brunch you read how my favorite dish was the warm goat cheese and white truffle oil. Well today we are going to change things up a little and not talk about goat cheese, but rather goats milk soaps. Although you can’t eat these- you can definitely enjoy them in a different way.
Serenity Acres Farm is a small farm in Madison County Florida working toward the big goal of bringing you locally grown products and farm raised products without the use of major pesticides, hormones and genetically modified components. Their philosophy is simple: Grow and raise it locally and then offer only the freshest and best of what they produce.
Each goat on their farm has a special name and personality. You can check each one out by clicking here. Because these goats are loved and well kept, they produce high quality milk which then gets turned into soap. A few benefits from using goats milk soap-
Goats milk has a ph balance that is close to your skin and the goat’s milk soap will clean your skin without stripping all the essential oils from your skin. Since they do not pasteurize their milk, all the natural vitamins and nutrients are still present in the milk which will be available for your skin when you use the soap.
So how much goats milk is actually in 1 bar of soap? Each and everyone of their bars has on average 15 – 20% fresh and pure goat’s milk in it. The soaps then get their fragrance with the highest quality essential and phthalate-free fragrance oils available to us. They only use fragrance oils in a few of their scents where a natural alternative is not available. These scents have been customer favorites and for that reason they are continuing to offer them, such as Almond Oatmeal, Arabian Wood Shaving, or Green Tea Lemongrass.
Hope you enjoy trying out this new, natural soap!
