Happy Toddler Tuesday friends! Today I am doing something new over on Instagram- I am sharing my first ever IGTV recipe video! You can definitely tell it’s my first because there are a lot of mess ups and awkward stares into the camera moments! But it was a lot of fun to film it with Robinson because I never know what he’s going to do! Like bark at the blender! If you missed it, click HERE to watch!
The recipe we are sharing on our video is a family favorite: tropical smoothie and popsicles. This is especially popular in our household during the summer months! Since we are all stuck at home this month, we wanted to go ahead and share it with you. It’s a lot of fun to make with kids (or just for yourself) because i’ts easy and customizable. Each child can make their own popsicle by adding whatever fruit they want!
Recipe Tips
For this recipe we used our Ninja blender and these cute blue popsicles molds that we got on Amazon. They are the PERFECT size and portion for small toddler hands. And not to mention, aren’t they absolutely adorable? They also come in a larger size and in different colors.
When you are looking at this recipe, keep in mind you can easily substitute ANY of the ingredients for stuff you currently have at home. For example, instead of juice you could do milk. If you and your pediatrician are currently trying to increase your toddlers weight, you can put Pediasure, Boost or other supplements. Also, you can easily add vegetables to this recipe! I sometimes add frozen spinach to our smoothies for extra vitamins, minerals and fiber.
I hope you enjoy our little video and this delicious recipe! Stay safe friends!
