Happy weekend friends! Are you ready for this years Eat Pretty, Feel Pretty challenge?! I am SO excited about this year because it’s going to be bigger and better than ever.
For those of you who are brand new to the challenge, welcome! If you are on here to find out more about it but aren’t sold on it yet, welcome too! This special edition weekend blog post is to better inform you about the challenge.
Eat Pretty Challenge: What’s It All About?
So what exactly is this eat pretty, feel pretty challenge? I’m glad you asked! When I was in graduate school getting my Masters in Clinical Nutrition, I started the Eat Pretty Challenge. I wanted to create a fun way to share all my newfound knowledge in a creative way. So the Eat Pretty 2015 started! You can read about the first every challenge here.
Eat pretty, feel pretty is different from other nutrition challenges because it does not eliminate any food groups. Instead it was designed to teach you what foods should be consumed in moderation. I am a registered dietitian that does NOT believe in diets or avoiding “bad” foods all together. I believe that all foods can be consumed in moderation with a 80/20 rule- 80% whole foods and 20% non-healthy food.
Although the challenge is not a piece of cake {ha see what I did there?}, it is not designed for you to fail. This year I will be changing it up and allowing 1 cheat day for the week in order to teach the 80/20 concept. Another change from past year is every day will have it’s own challenge. For example, in the hydration week we will be challenged to drink a certain amount of water each day. There will also be giveaways every Sunday to kick off the new weeks challenge as well as collaborations with fellow food bloggers.
How Do I Sign Up?
I am still ironing out the final details on what each week will look like {in the mean time check out last years challenge details} but if you are ready to sign up click here. Even if you just want to get more info on the challenge sign up for the newsletter!
I hope you will join this challenge and community of ladies who will be eating pretty!
