Happy New Years weekend my friends! Well it’s that time of year again- time to name Peaches to Pearls Top 10 restaurants in Atlanta! I’ve been doing this for the past two years {see who won in 2014 and 2015} and love being able to share my favorites with you. As many of you know, one of the reasons why I decided to start Peaches to Pearls was to share this passion of food with you. It’s also one of the reasons I decided to get my Masters in Clinical Nutrition- to learn how food truly affects our bodies. So with all that being said, I am very excited to tell you that I have now eaten at 341 restaurants in Atlanta since I moved here five years ago.
Atlanta’s Top 10 Restaurants
Today I am going to share that list with you AND my Top 10 Best Atlanta Restaurants. I started doing this two year ago and it has now been a go-to list for anyone asking for restaurant suggestions while visiting Atlanta. Keep in mind, these are my personal favorite spots. You locals may disagree with them but I decided these were my top 10 based on food quality, price point and ambiance. So here you go- the top 9 are in no particular order but my number 1 is my 2016 favorite restaurant.
This year in particular was difficult to come up with my top 10 because I was able to try a lot of new restaurants. I mention this every year but something you will never find on my blog is a bad restaurant review. I am by no means a food critic so I do not feel it is my place to write something negative about a restaurant. Nevertheless, when I do love a restaurant I will sing their praises. So how exactly did I decide my #1 you ask? Well it’s simple- which restaurant did I eat at this year that I would want to go back over and over again? Which restaurant do I find myself mostly recommending to anyone who asks for suggestions? This years number one spot goes to Colletta Italian Food and Wine.

Oh Colletta, I could write you a poem! Just kidding- I am not poetic at all. But really- every time I leave Colletta I fall more and more in love with it. Everything Chef Mike Perez and team come up with is divine! This past year I was particularly fond of his Duck Ragu Pizza. Chef told me he was inspired to make this beautiful creation while he was in Italy with his wife. And this is what makes Chef so successful- he draws inspiration from his travels and passions.
Now, I’m not the only one to sing Colletta’s praises- they have been winning award after award since they opened their doors. Jezebel Magazine named them Best New OTP Restaurant, 100 Hottest Restaurants, 10 Innovative Pie Purveyors- these are just a few of them. They also won best meatball in 2015 at the Atlanta Meatball Festival. I hope this gives you an idea on how amazing Colletta truly is!

Incredibly impressive you’ve been to 341 restaurants!! We live in Atlanta too and Colletta was one of our favorites this year – seriously those meatballs are ah-mazing! our favorite is 1KEPT and would highly recommend it if you ever get a chance!
